What is StellarXplorers?

The StellarXplorers team consists of six members per team and is part of the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association (AFA) to inspire students in grades K–12 toward careers in space systems, aerospace engineering, and STEM. It features a national space systems design competition where teams solve real-world orbital engineering challenges using STK (Systems Tool Kit) software provided by Ansys/AGI — analyzing trade-offs between satellite coverage, cost, launch vehicles, and mission requirements to produce the best possible solution within constraints, while gaining technical skills in satellite design, orbital mechanics, and mission planning.

Training materials are available at STLX Training Materials.
